有時受邀去朋友工作室玩，看到種植的滿室花草，甚為艷羨！我是做不來此等事的，自己曾學著種過幾次，花草卻總是凋零不堪，不成氣候！

Sometimes when invited to a friend’s studio, I would see a room full of flowers and plants which greatly inspires my admiration. Actually, I have no talent in raising plants because I have never succeeded during the previous experiences. Those I tried to plant all withered and showed no possibility of surviving.

棲居于北京郊區的上苑藝術館，時間靜謐得似乎有些停滯，這兒近山，滿院是茂盛的植被。基于自身的生活感受，“植物志”著力于建構一個自我的“失樂園”，在這兒，個人的藝術實踐、日常生活因為“獨處”得以無差別地交融在一起，“植物志”透過其中的日常體驗，重新尋求了藝術的另一些可能！嘗試著如何將植物這一關注對象轉化成為一種藝術的媒介，以促成不同意念、不同物質形態、不同時空維度的相互融合——“植物志”是一個不斷生發的過程，它的呈現形態是與每一位與之相遇的人共同塑造的結果。

Living in the outskirts of BEIJINGShangyuan Art Museum, I feel life so peaceful and quiet as if time never passes. And due to its closeness to mountains, my courtyard is covered with lush vegetation. Based on my own life experience, I concludes that the “ enthusiasm for plants” focuses on constructing a “paradise lost” for oneself. Here in this place, art practice and daily life of individuals are mutually blended without distinction because of solitude. Meanwhile, the “enthusiasm for plants” tries again to seek other potential art forms based on these daily experiences. For example, it tries to transform the object “plant” into a kind of medium for art so that different ideas, physical forms and time-space dimensions can be integrated with each other. The “enthusiasm for plants” continually comes into existence and develops and the form it presents has a great relationship with whom it has met.
