前言（Preface）
今年是上苑藝術(shù)館“國際創(chuàng)作計(jì)劃”的第十屆。本屆于 2016年12月30日截止申請(qǐng)，共收到47個(gè)國家，1713名申請(qǐng)人的資料。通過多次篩選，最終我們從136名候選人中，選出50名優(yōu)秀藝術(shù)家，他們將從4月到10月，在此交流與創(chuàng)作。
This year is the 10th International Residency Program of Shangyuan Art Museum. Until the deadline of the application, December 30th, 2016, we have received 1713 applications from 47 countries.Through screening, we finally selected 50 outstanding artists from the top 136 candidates to participate our Residency Program from April to October.
上苑藝術(shù)館，作為全球最大的非盈利性藝術(shù)駐留機(jī)構(gòu)，意在構(gòu)筑藝術(shù)的橋梁，不僅增進(jìn)外國藝術(shù)家與中國藝術(shù)家之間藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作、思想觀念上的相互了解，而且為藝術(shù)家創(chuàng)造對(duì)于其他類型藝術(shù)的跨界認(rèn)識(shí)的機(jī)會(huì)，相互吸收、相互碰撞，啟迪創(chuàng)作的靈感，推進(jìn)藝術(shù)探索的深度。
Shangyuan Art Museum is running one of the biggest non-profit art residency program in the world. We aim to establish a bridge between different disciplines of art. We do not only improve the understanding of art and related ideas between foreign and Chinese artists, but also try to create a space where artists from different disciplines can come together to know each other, draw inspiration from each other, and in the end, deepen their understanding and further their artistic exploration.
每一位決意駐館的藝術(shù)家都是有其藝術(shù)追求的，他們用不同媒介表達(dá)自我對(duì)于世界的獨(dú)特認(rèn)識(shí)，他們的藝術(shù)成果自帶光暈。他們?cè)隈v館之前的創(chuàng)作形態(tài)如何，他們?cè)谶@里又將創(chuàng)作出什么，這對(duì)應(yīng)開幕展與閉幕展，是上苑藝術(shù)館“國際創(chuàng)作計(jì)劃”兩大固定的精彩看點(diǎn)。歡迎各界人士蒞臨參觀。
Every resident artist has his or her unique way of pursuing art. He uses his own medium to express his individuality and his understanding of the world. How is his work differs before and after the residency? That is exactly what will be reflected in our Opening and Ending Exhibition. And they are the most fascinating events of the Residency Program. We warmly invite you to come to the exhibitions.
