前言
蔚，茂也。
劉柏林從藝十余載，一路行來，一路栽植，從未懈怠。放眼一望，已是蔚然成林。
人活于世，夢和幻想如影隨行。你夢過即忘，視幻想如浮云。劉柏林不然，他記錄、刻畫。他之夢，也許有汝之夢，他之幻想，興許是汝之幻想。
目之所及，滿目瘡痍。作為創(chuàng)作者，每個藝術(shù)家都應(yīng)用他之創(chuàng)造呈現(xiàn)這個時代特有的東西。“蔚”即是“慰”，當(dāng)現(xiàn)實(shí)給予你痛擊，也許藝術(shù)能給你安慰。劉柏林作品抒發(fā)個人心靈，針砭時弊，既再現(xiàn)、又挖掘，展現(xiàn)出一位藝術(shù)家獨(dú)立思考的能力和勇于批判的品格。
精于算計(jì)、長于體察人心均為人之長也，可唯有純粹之人方能創(chuàng)造出純粹的藝術(shù)，一個單純、天真、真誠的造夢者，他的繪畫、裝置、行為等方面的創(chuàng)作有何不同。作為北京上苑藝術(shù)館2018年首位駐館藝術(shù)家個展，相信“蔚”劉柏林個人作品展能給你答案。

Intro:
Luxuriance, abundantly and often extravagantly rich and varied.
It has been more than a decade since Liu Bolin became an artist. On the way of this journey, he always has been diligent. The seeds he planted on the way, now when looking back, have already become a luxuriant forest.
Living in this world, dreams always come along with imagination. You forget about your dreams, you see imaginations as nothing. For Liu, on the contrary, he records and paints them down. His dreams might be your dreams, his imaginations, might be your imaginations.
Our era is deeply damaged, no matter wherever you look. As artists, every one of us has the duty to create something unique of our time. Art could provide consolation, when the reality is hurting you. Liu’s works express his personal mind, to voice problems of the current society. It indicates and demonstrates his character of independence and courage.
Some people might be prized for having a calculated mind, or being worldly-wise, but only one with pure of heard can create pure art. A simple, pure, and sincere dream maker, his paintings, installations, and performance have their unique characteristics. As the first solo exhibition of Shangyuan Art Museum in 2018, we believe it will give you a different point of view.
