前言（Preface）
今年是上苑藝術館“國際創(chuàng)作計劃”的第十屆。本屆于 2016年12月30日截止申請，共收到47個國家，1713名申請人的資料。通過多次篩選，最終我們從136名候選人中，選出50名優(yōu)秀藝術家，他們將從4月到10月，在此交流與創(chuàng)作。
This year is the 10th International Residency Program of Shangyuan Art Museum. Until the deadline of the application, December 30th, 2016, we have received 1713 applications from 47 countries.Through screening, we finally selected 50 outstanding artists from the top 136 candidates to participate our Residency Program from April to October.
上苑藝術館，作為全球最大的非盈利性藝術駐留機構，意在構筑藝術的橋梁，不僅增進外國藝術家與中國藝術家之間藝術創(chuàng)作、思想觀念上的相互了解，而且為藝術家創(chuàng)造對于其他類型藝術的跨界認識的機會，相互吸收、相互碰撞，啟迪創(chuàng)作的靈感，推進藝術探索的深度。
Shangyuan Art Museum is running one of the biggest non-profit art residency program in the world. We aim to establish a bridge between different disciplines of art. We do not only improve the understanding of art and related ideas between foreign and Chinese artists, but also try to create a space where artists from different disciplines can come together to know each other, draw inspiration from each other, and in the end, deepen their understanding and further their artistic exploration.
每一位決意駐館的藝術家都是有其藝術追求的，他們用不同媒介表達自我對于世界的獨特認識，他們的藝術成果自帶光暈。他們在駐館之前的創(chuàng)作形態(tài)如何，他們在這里又將創(chuàng)作出什么，這對應開幕展與閉幕展，是上苑藝術館“國際創(chuàng)作計劃”兩大固定的精彩看點。歡迎各界人士蒞臨參觀。
Every resident artist has his or her unique way of pursuing art. He uses his own medium to express his individuality and his understanding of the world. How is his work differs before and after the residency? That is exactly what will be reflected in our Opening and Ending Exhibition. And they are the most fascinating events of the Residency Program. We warmly invite you to come to the exhibitions.
